Autumn 2025
Dear Cinemagoer,
In addition to our regular autumn season, Cricklade Cinema is delighted to be hosting a special event on Saturday 22nd November @7:00 in Cricklade Town Hall.
Gone To Ground (105mins, Cert tbc)
A mystery thriller filmed locally and based on an incident involving a well-known local resident. The story is loosely based on Gervase Peel, who was a wartime bomber pilot, and the extraordinary incident that happened later in his life near his home at Calcutt Hall.
Gervase sadly died around 10 years ago but his son Phil, a film-maker and screenwriter, wrote and directed Gone To Ground and is delighted for it to be shown to our Cricklade Cinema audience. Phil will be joining us for the event and will talk about his father, and about the making of the film in Cricklade.
Tickets are £5 and can be purchased from October 29th from the Town Council Offices
at 113 High Street.
Please note: the film has yet to receive a BBFC certificate, so the screening will be for over eighteens only.
All profits from this event will go to The Cricklade Memory Café.
